Holy Sh*t THIS Replaced The Huxley
Let's face it here people, the club life in Washington D.C. isn't so great. If you want good music, there's other options for that - less clubby-ish options. So it came as no surprise when The Huxley, which used to be considered one of the best clubs in town, shut it's doors for good this year.
Now what popped up in it's place? Dupont's new live music & entertainment venue, Buckeye + Bear.
B + B will have live entertainment, comedy shows, costume karaoke and trivia nights weekly. Check out their calendar to see what's on the schedule coming up.
The modern sports bar serves eight beers on draft, including local brews such as DC Brau and good ol' hipster classics like PBR.
+ The Really Good News :
There's a Happy Hour Tuesdays - Fridays from 5 PM - 8PM that includes $2 select beers and $3 house liquors.
+ If You're Feeling Hangry :
They serve southern BBQ. Try menu items like the shredded brisket nachos or buffalo chicken dip. *Drooooooool*
& Last But Certainly Not Least:
They l-o-v-eeee birthdays. B-day babes get a complimentary $100 bar tab if they shoot an email over to Birthday@BuckeyeBear.com
So to wrap this cap we're ending on a highly optimistic note here, wishing the best of luck to you Buckeye + Bear! (<--- that rhymes)
We sincerely hope this spot brings serious change to the ' I-Only-Play-Top-40's-Music ' Dupont Circle bar scene.
