Super Mario-Themed Pop-Up Bar Makes It’s Debut in D.C.
IT’S - A - MEEE MARIO!
Earlier this winter most Washingtonians were really getting into the holly-jolly Stranger Things spirit at the infamous Christmas Themed Pop-Up, "Miracle On 7th Street" in Shaw.
But even If you didn’t make it to the Christmas themed / Stranger Things bar, chances are you most likely heard about it, maybe even through Barb herself...?
Now with Cherry Blossom season upon us already, as an ode to the flowers almost being in full bloom, the group behind the infamous Christmas Bar are showing everybody that getting into the ’Spring Spirit’ can be pretty fun and festive too.
Just take a peak..
Dereck Brown and his team of creative crafters have completely transformed Mockingbird Hill and Southern Efficiency into the Cherry Blossom Pub.
Blossom bar-goers can be seen sipping on quality craft cocktails and small plates while immersing themselves in the atmosphere of all things Japanese.
Inside you'll find drinks, dishes, and decor like origami, waving cats, Japanese sake and an entire room dedicated to Super Mario Bros.
In addition to food and drinks, the pop-up provides plenty of entertainment through Mario Kart contests, bartenders in costumes, plenty of different photo ops (including the very Instagram worthy mural in the Cherry Blossom room), a special corner dedicated to super villain King Koopa, and all the unsuspected moving objects / mushroom filled ceiling.
& speakingggg of mushrooms, there’s mush-more-rooooom at the pop-up bar this time around!
Mockingbird Hill and Southern Efficiency are now connected as one big ol' bar.
For more blossoms, booze, & mushrooooms stop by the #CherryBlossomPUB anytime before April 15th!
