That New-New in Washington D.C : Dirty Habit
Two Weeks ago Penn Quarter got a lot cooler...
Welcome to the Neighborhood, Dirty Habit.
Dirty Habit is a trendy new restaurant & cocktail bar located directly across the street from the Verizon Center in the former location of Poste. The new hot spot shows off a much riskier restaurant theme by dropping subtle hints about common "bad habits" all over the place (for instance, at their soft opening party, they served food on mirrors instead of plates...)
Without being obnoxious and uncomfortably upfront, the design and details bring unspoken-taboo topics to life in a creative-cool way that fits it's name perfectly.
The restaurant will serve 'globally-influenced' seasonal dishes.
What's Popular: Crispy Duck Ravioli, Wagyu Beer Tartare, Honey Glazed Eggplant, Fried Duck Meatballs
AND IF YOU GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THE GRAM...
Presentation / plating of the food is also like really, really, pretty.
"This almost looks too pretty to eat!"

"Okay, I lied. I'm ready to stuff my face now."
Why We're Excited About This New Spot
We're bored of restaurants and bars in DC with 'squeeky-clean" (and very typical) themes and concepts. There's a dive bar in San Francisco named Kozy Kar that literally plays porn instead of sports on their tv screens. COULD YOU EVEN IMAGINE IF SOMETHING LIKE THAT WERE TO OPEN UP IN WASHINGTON DC?! Yup, neither can we.
moral of the story: if you're a fan of risk-takers, or riskier themes in general, you're likely going to make a habit, of dropping by Dirty Habit, every time you're near chinatown.
